Dr. G. Todd Vance

Dr. G. Todd Vance is the founder of Breakforth Counseling and Consulting. He a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Virginia. His goal is to help each of his clients live their fullest, most productive lives. Dr. Vance specializes in the treatment of chronic depression, anxiety, PTSD, and related disorders. He also offers career coaching, couples counseling, performance mastery coaching, and enjoys helping other therapists overcome obstacles in their practices.

Amy Thomason

Amy Thomason is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Amy has experience treating depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, ADHD, autism spectrum, oppositional defiant, and conduct disorders. Amy also assists with grief and loss issues, as well as family separation and divorce. Methods used include cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and play therapy. Amy uses a person-centered approach to help her clients reach their goals. Her office hours include evening and weekend options.

 

Dr. Susan S. Mathews-Duvall

Dr. Susan S. Mathews-Duvall is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She has experience working with adolescents, adults, and couples. Her goal is to offer support, guidance, and tools to help her clients successfully navigate life transitions. Dr. Mathews-Duvall prioritizes forming collaborative therapeutic relationships in which clients feel respected, secure, and open to new perspectives. Dr. Mathews-Duvall specializes in providing affirming therapy for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people, as well as treatment for anxiety, depression, grief, unresolved emotional pain, and relationship problems.
Dr. Mathews-Duvall utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches, including emotion-focused and cognitive-behavioral therapies, career counseling, mindfulness, and hypnotherapy to help clients gain insight, pursue meaningful life goals, explore and express their feelings, heal from traumatic experiences, and regain emotional and life balance. Therapy may also assist clients with improving communication and coping skills, building self-esteem, and increasing relationship satisfaction. Evening office hours available.

Dr. Dane Hilton

Dr. Dane Hilton is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. He specializes in the assessment and treatment of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and other disruptive behavior disorders in children and adolescents. He enjoys working collaboratively with families to decrease disruptive behavior patterns, improve relationships with their children, and create a positive home environment. Dr. Hilton also works with children, adolescents, and adults who are struggling with anxiety to help them overcome worries and fears and live a more fulfilled life. Afternoon and evening hours available.
